Dr. Karl Zhang’s extensive experience working with the latest medical tools and procedures began while earning his Bachelor of Science degree at Johns Hopkins University. This training had sparked the passion for using the most innovative medical technology in his practice. Once completed, and then with a background in biomedical engineering, he continued his studies there to earn his medical degree.

After completing his residency at the New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Dr. Zhang was dedicated fully to offering his patients the most effective medical options available. As a fellow at the Duke University Health System, he received over six years of additional teaching from specialists in minimally invasive procedures.

While his patients and their needs are central to any medical care, Dr. Zhang has a unique understanding of the business side of the healthcare industry. In addition to his medical degrees, he has also earned an MBA in both finance and entrepreneurship from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.

Also, at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Dr. Karl Zhang taught as a fellow for both healthcare economics and management of pharmaceutical and medical technology. Since then, he has become a clinical assistant professor at the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He is fluent in both English and Chinese.
